Documentaries at the Oscars
No, we haven’t been nominated (yet!) but this is an interesting piece on the documentary shortlist and predictions for this year. It really is a golden age for documentaries, plenty of fascinating subjects as always being beautifully presented, but its been a really interesting year for experimenting with the ‘form’ itself, best example being of course the game changing doc ‘The Act Of Killing”. Enjoy the post it’s provoking plenty of debate here at Ad Hoc HQ!

Night Of The Fight Premiere on The Strand
We were fortunate enough to have a screening last night for members of the Press and those involved in making the Documentary ‘Night Of The Fight: Hatton’s Last Stand’ – which included a special recorded message from Ricky Hatton himself. It felt fantastic to give the film its first airing to an audience. The film was well received and now we look forward to it’s broadcast on ITV4 on Weds 16 October 2013.
Many thanks to all who attended, all who were involved in making the film possible and Rene Carayol in particular who hosted the event.
